During Phase 2 of the HCG diet, it is normal to have to days where you lose a lot and days where you don’t lose as much. Everybody is different and it is impossible to tell when or where these slower can days occur.
It is important to drink 2-3 litres of water per day. This will help aid in digestion and help prevent constipation, which is quite common while doing the diet. If you do not have regular bowel movements, as in every day, then the reading on the scales is not going to be accurate. If you have any gains on any given day then this is most certainly the culprit.
If you are not regular, the best thing to do is to go to the supermarket and buy Metamucil Caps (Not the drink! The drink contains sweeteners). These are small capsules that will help get things moving again. Always weigh yourself after you have been to the toilet for the most accurate results.
Remember: If you are not eating any fat, sugars or carbs you cannot put on any fat. Regardless of what the scales say.
If your stall lasts 3 days or longer then do the apple day as outlined in the HC-Slim Guide Booklet. This should get the weight loss moving again.
Stalls can also occur just prior or during a woman’s period. This is normal. If this happens just continue to take the drops and do the diet as per normal. The weight loss will resume afterwards. You can try the apple day here also.
Once a stall has happened, you have to ride it out apart from the apple day there is not much you can do. The best way to way to deal with stalls is to do everything you can to avoid them.
How to minimise the chances of stalls.
There are some things you can do to help minimise the length of a stall or even avoid a stall altogether.
1. Make sure you drink 2-3 litres of water per day.
2. Do not do any strenuous exercise. Yoga, walking etc is ok. But if you break a sweat then you have gone too far.
3. Make sure you are eating only the allowed foods, and you are staying within the allowed calories
4. Take a “whole food” multi-vitamin and Vitamin B12 Supplement. B12 help with metabolism and will help the body convert fats and proteins into energy.
5. Make sure you get enough sleep. When the body is tired it can’t function at its best. Sleep is highly unrated when it comes to losing weight.
